BISHOP DARRYL L. HILL

With a God-given anointing and a vision for leading nations to deliverance, Bishop Darryl L. Hill is a Pastor with a global mission to empower and educate through the Word of God.  He is ordained to reach the broken-hearted, heal the sick, and transform lives. 

The Powerful Praise Crusade Ministries launched in 1994 as Bishop Hill traveled across the United States, garnering the attention of many who were captivated by his ability to minister to people from all walks of life, regardless of their circumstances. His capacity to connect, with authenticity and compassion, led him to a new plateau in his kingdom walk. In December 1999, he became the Founder and Pastor of Powerful Praise Tabernacle in Brooklyn, New York. There, he not only grew his congregation substantially, but he also implemented community programs, resources, and services to help the less fortunate.  

 As a Brooklyn native who grew up in the Van Dyke Houses, Bishop Hill endured the life of an inner-city Black male and survived to share that testimony with others. His experiences nurtured a unique call to the ministry of reconciliation and affords him the gift of genuinely relating to people in ways that allow them to connect to God on a personal level. His commitment to meeting believers where they stood, has enabled Bishop Hill to expand beyond Brooklyn thus furthering his reach. After outgrowing three locations, he decided to open a new church in Long Island, New York where the power of God led him to renaming his ministry. And so, when the world shut its doors during the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020, Bishop Hill opened his heart by building a new place of worship now named: The Power House Church. 

 In addition to growing his own church, Bishop Hill also began the IMPACT Fellowship of Churches where he serves as The Presider. The IMPACT Fellowship provides sound teaching, leadership training, financial support, organizational development, and counsel to guide its covenant Pastors.  

Since great leadership gleans from great servitude, Bishop Hill serves as the Chairman of The Board of Bishops with the Covenant Keepers International Alliance (CKIA) under the leadership of Bishop Hezekiah Walker.  

Going beyond the pulpit, Bishop Hill continues to seek opportunities where he can combine his entrepreneurial skills with his spiritual beliefs. As such, he published his first book, “Fit to Endure the Fire”, to rave reviews and plans to share more of his writings with the world. He is also CEO of The Powerful Music Group – an independent gospel record label – and the previous owner of “He Nailed It”, a Black-Owned nail salon in Brooklyn. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Theology from Virginia Union University.
